The NPR model, according to me, is that they provide great content 365 days a year. For crying out loud, NPR has no advertising for the rest of the year. They don’t charge us for this great stuff. The least we can do is tolerate the telephone and donate money. This is my model for social media. I want to provide you so much value that when I promote my book, my company, you do not feel any hostility towards me for doing that, because I have been providing you great stuff all year long. Provide value. So what kind of value can provide by social media? One is information. What just happened? Second thing is insights. What does it mean that this just happened”?
