“Our country’s falling apart!”

That’s how Rep. John Mannion ended his shouting match with fellow New York Rep. Mike Lawler during a vote to pass a House Republican bill canceling funds for foreign aid, PBS and NPR.

Mannion, D-Geddes, started yelling at Lawler, a Republican from downstate, after he spotted Lawler on the Democratic side of the floor.

“F—ing get over there and get some f—ing balls,” Mannion can be heard saying during the live C-Span coverage.

“Who the f— are you?” Lawler replied.

Lawler, a Republican, voted in support of the bill to defund NPR, PBS and foreign aid. Democrats were united in their opposition.

Mannion said he had been talking with Democratic colleagues about the failure of House Republicans to stand up to President Donald Trump on a variety of issues, including the deployment of Marines to Los Angeles, when he saw Lawler.

“If drawing a little attention to myself on the House floor shines a brighter light on the actions that are happening in this country, I’m OK with that because I love this country,” Mannion said.
